A personal message from Jan Mielke Schwartz about Authentic Intelligence:  How to Use Your Mental, Emotional, and Spiritual Gifts to Create the Life – and World – You Want : 

     Authentic Intelligence is a self-help book about how to use your mental, emotional, and spiritual gifts to create the life – and world – you want.  Most books focus mostly or entirely on just one type of intelligence.  However, the only way to see your full potential, make the best decisions, and have the greatest impact is to make all three types of intelligence work together: Mental Intelligence (IQ), Emotional Intelligence (EQ), and Spiritual Intelligence (SQ). We need to feed our treasure of intelligence with new thoughts, ideas, and experiences. Tapping into your Authentic Intelligence (AI+) is the only way to have the clarity and “knowing” you need to live your full potential and enjoy emotional well-being. 

     Rather than chapters, this book is organized into discoveries and sections featuring twelve stages of personal growth and development.  Within the sections are 251 action-generating tips to increase your awareness and nurture your intuition.  This book also has an index that makes it easy to find what you need, when you need it. 

     As a forensic behavioral scientist, I have applied psychological principles in the real world for decades.  The ideas in this book haven’t just created success, they have also woven great joy into my work and personal life. 

     Using my forensic and psychology expertise, I have compiled data for and provided information to the HIDTA  Money-Laundering Division of the FBI in Manhattan, the FBI in Washington, D.C., the CIA, the Defense Intelligence Agency, the Criminal Investigation Division of the IRS, U.S.D.O.J.’s Justice Television Network, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the National Science Foundation, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, the Ohio Organized Crime Investigations Commission, the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, the Governor of Ohio’s Office, 19 state departments, and various U.S. Attorney’s Offices.  Writing “The Psychological Profile of a Spy” and conducting a pilot program for the nation, “Overcoming Resistance on the Local Level” are among the details that have blended my work into the realm of intelligence and homeland security. 

     My research and efforts related to “intelligence gathering” give me a unique perspective.  I first began formally compiling the ideas for this book while writing anther book, Last Summer with Oscar, about the discovery of a cure for my beloved golden retriever’s cancer.  When I began introducing my ideas on Facebook, I discovered that, despite our man differences, my FB friends found the ideas helpful.  One person said it was like having an artist’s muse, but for one’s everyday personal and professional life. 

      In a world where Artificial Intelligence is becoming more prevalent, we will need Authentic Intelligence to survive and thrive.  I care deeply about our society, and I believe fully in your ability.  I, sincerely, want to help every person, every family, every community, every state, and every nation as they strive to thrive, heal, and further their growth and effectiveness.  Authentic Intelligence will provide the path for me to do this.  Come and walk with me.  Let’s begin this adventurous journey together.
